We have definitely been busy over the last year, hard at work on countless projects for all of our wonderful clients. While we have been working on content for them, we’ve also been cooking up a little something of our own…for quite some time now. It’s finally complete and we couldn’t be more proud of the way it turned out. Here it is…our BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
Whenever we bring a new client on board to create a website for them, we always remind them it is not a quick process. It takes a lot of time and a lot of hard work to create one of our beautiful completely custom websites. But it will be worth it in the end! Building our own website was no exception to this. At Kudzu Brands we believe that your brand including your website and collateral should always be evolving to match your growing company. For us, it had been a while since we revisited our website and finally decided it was time to take on ourselves as a client and listen to our own advice.
We knew we wanted a website that reflected how much dedication and attention to detail we put into our client projects. We also wanted a way to showcase our company, our services and process, and of course our portfolio in a well-thought-out and engaging way. And so the process began…
Our website process began the same way we do any client websites, with a Discovery. The Discovery was led by the project’s lead designer, to gather information from the partners to better understand the goals, tone, inspiration, layout, ideal user experience, and more.
From that Discovery our team worked to gather and create content for a content map document and design mockups. This is where we spent the bulk of our time, and for us, this step was the most challenging in the website process. We wanted to be mindful of keywords used, how the text would fit into our desired layout, and make sure all the content clearly and creatively showcased who we are.
Pulling together portfolio work and making sure that it is representative of the work we do was very important to us and we wanted to make sure we got it right, so it took us a while to get there. We also encouraged our whole team to be involved in the review and proofing process so that we were all invested in it. But after many rounds of revisions and lots of team input and feedback, we finally got to a point where we were ready to send it off to programming.
We are so very thankful for our programming partners at The Dietz Group who took all of our content and designs and orchestrated the final product.
It’s been a labor of love, definitely with some speed bumps along the way, but we could not be happier to be going into a new year with a beautiful website that we love. We hope that this new website will allow us to continue to connect with and support amazing brands nationwide.
