The Big Idea

Atelier Maison, (“A workshop or studio used by an artist or designer” in French), is a unique home furnishings store that provides an unparalleled shopping experience to discerning individuals, designers, architects, builders and their clients.

Atelier Maison provides custom, healthy, quality brand name furnishings along with accessory items such as pillows, lighting, rugs, linens and art.

The store’s goal is to elevate shopping for home furnishings to a completely new level—by offering beautiful, high-quality, healthy furniture and accessories, a personal design concierge team, monthly warehouse sales with music and food trucks, a movie theatre, a pet park, live performances and much more. 

Sean and Laura Sullivan, creators of Atelier Maison, were seeking support to effectively tell the Atelier Maison story and communicate the full experience while enticing the market to visit and style their home with their beautiful, high quality and healthy furnishings.

The Strategy

We worked with Atelier Mason to create a dynamic, modern brand that reflects the style of the furnishings that will be available at the store. The brand design, while simple, depicts the energy and excitement of the Asheville “vibe” as well as the complete Atelier Maison experience. The tagline, “The elevated furnishing experience”, reflects the style and quality available at the store as well as the complete shopping experience.

The Impact

Atelier Maison has taken their Kudzu created strategy, brand and overall aesthetic to market and opened their store in Summer 2020. They applied their brand to a new website, awareness mailers, rack cards, business cards, signage and billboards to name a few. The Atelier Maison brand will be a major player in the Asheville furniture arena and the only furniture experience in WNC.
