Southern Concrete Materials
Laying the Foundation for a Regional Brand
Laying the foundation for another 60 years of success with an updated brand, website and marketing strategy.
Southern Concrete Materials has been supplying ready mixed concrete, precast concrete products and retaining walls, construction products and tools, and masonry block products to the Western North Carolina, Asheville, and Charlotte Metro regions since 1958. Through superior service and products, they have grown to multiple divisions served by over 30 plants. They wanted to elevate their brand aesthetic and message as well as remain relevant in our ever changing and evolving digital world. They also sought to drive traffic to their website and cultivate new sales leads to gain new customers while retaining returning customers.
We supported this company by helping them to define and focus on their “3 C’s” – Convenience, Capability and Contribution in order to provide customers with a better understanding of what they have to offer and who they are. We utilized digital marketing platforms such as Google Adwords and social media to inform and engage customers on SCM’s suite of services. We also recommended that they strive to recruit and retain employees that act as Ambassadors for their future employees and customers. We helped them to develop better prospecting tools to engage and recruit leads, prospects and future clients.
As a result of their work with Kudzu, SCM gained an uplifted brand while maintaining qualities of their original look. We provided them with a brand new website that is one of the most modern and professional currently in the state. Now, they have a single brand mark and quality messaging that is used consistently across all locations and a wide bank of beautiful photography to use for future marketing efforts. SCM’s work with Kudzu Brands has helped them to understand their own position in the market and clarity about the vision for their business moving forward.
